I created ZIKO Outdoors with one sole purpose: to bring the outdoors to those who are just as enthusiastic about it as I am.
My Story
My journey began with a simple realization: there is magic in the untamed.
The project started as a vision, when I was a student of forestry at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. It has now grown into a proper website for those who find solace in the rustle of leaves, the distant call of a wild animal, and the rugged beauty of untouched landscapes. I set out to build more than just a website – I aimed to curate an experience that resonates with the heart of every adventurer.
What Drives Me
I have a deep passion for hunting. For me, it’s more than just a sport, but a connection to our primal roots, a dance with the rhythms of nature, and a profound respect for the circle of life.
Ever since I was a little boy, I was obsessed with animals, and I’ve kept that enthusiasm to this day. The beauty of the outdoors lies not just in the thrill of the hunt but also in the incredible diversity of wildlife that graces our world. My commitment to conservation and ethical practices ensures that future generations can marvel at the majesty of nature.
So, whether you’re a seasoned hunter or just a novice eager to learn, I’m here to share insights, stories, and tips to make your hunting experiences unforgettable.
Another thing that really interests me is off-grid living and survival in nature. There’s just something liberating about casting aside the conveniences of modern life and embracing the challenge of living off the grid. I celebrate self-sufficiency, sustainable living, and the skills needed to thrive in the wild.
